This thread could be updated, I guess. I just noticed that IE 8 has officially been released, plus Safari 4 is a public beta, Firefox is at version 3.0.7, and Camino at 1.6.6.
There might even be more.

And now we’re even at Safari 4 (official), Camino 1.6.8, and Firefox 3.5. What’s up, liorean? :confused:

New Firefox 3.5

Its great and so fast.

So other than that, you love it?

What issues. I have none and love those features.

What I noticed is that the site suggestion in the address bar is a little slow on first startup (has been like that since 3.5, I think). I don’t know if it’s just my computer or what.

I never use the latest version of FF .. The reason I don't update is because not all of my firefox add-ons are compatible for the latest version of FireFox .Anyway i always get the latest version on IE.Just too check what they have improved in order to fight FF .

Since David has been gone for a while I took the liberty of updating some of the links.

Google Chrome is also available for Mac OS (10.5 and higher), by the way.

I keep hearing talk about ie9 and firefox 4. Then again the same can be said for windows 8. Go figure. All of these folks seem to update much more often than they used to. Hopefully they can deliver though.

“Yesterday I posted about the release of Chrome and asked if we were entering another Browser War. Well, it may not be a war just yet. One thing is for sure though, Chrome ain’t no joke. In fact, I am using it right now.

I took Chrome for a spin today and have to say, it is slick as hell. It is simple, fast as anything, and absolutely streamlined for power-users that leverage multiple tabs. Christ, each tab runs in its own process! Although it was geekd, had a couple o’ gripes:

- I fell in love with the speed, but it crashed 3 times.
- Not a big fan of the fact that it is a closed platform. Extensions are a must.
- Expected a bit more OOMF in terms of innovation
- Bookmarking blows and is very Web 1.0

Overall, the release got a solid B in my book. It was not perfect, did not blow me away, but it was freaking solid. If they can get it not to crash (minimum), however, I will use it over Firefox. I love extensions, but for my usage patterns, I can tolerate it. Definitely think the original Evil Empire should watch out – Google is coming. “

So long as one evil empire isn't replaced with another. :(

That ensures I can tolerate FF despite its foibles.

I have been using FF since about 0.5/0.6 and am currently running the lastest beta of 4the user studies that it does are good in that it actually feels like you are having an impact in design decisions. I do miss my addons from 4, spent about a week with Adblock that sucked. For the most part i really like the browser and the way it works. I did try chrome for a while but for its supposed speed i always hated that when I selected a different tab it would take a second or two to refresh the display. So when quickly moving through multiple tabs it was painful to use. YMMV

Yippy released new browser version 1.0

Yippy is a browser designed from inception with clean surfing as the primary goal. I have used it, it's quiet good and clean for sure.
