I want to make this HTML viewable in a forum. Is HTML just blocked out, to save peoples computers?

Most forums don't allow html code. You can try BB (bulletin board) code, but I'm not that familiar with it other than the basics, so I'm not sure it will work for what you're trying to accomplish. Here's a website with some BB examples:
