Unable to view clips on computer

For some reason, I am unable (all of the sudden) to watch movie clips in FireFox and Internet Explorer. In IE, it just opens as a empty "x" box. In FF, it says it, "Cannot create DirectShow Player."

I haven't changed ANYTHING, one day it worked, the next day it didn't.

Any suggestions?

Uninstall your current version of Media Player, delete the folder that contained it, download and install the current version of Media Player.

At least that's what worked for most everyone who had this problem.
