Some sort of virus

I have some sort of virus on my computer. Internet Explorer keeps popping up, but the funny thing is: I use FireFox. Sometimes, I see a popup pop up, but it disapears, but if I CTR + ALT + DEL, and go to processes, I see IE EXPLORER.exe, so it is open for some odd reason.

I have ran Norton and a free version of AVG, but neither do anything. I sometimes have to use IE for things that won't work for FF, so I can't just uninstall IE.

Any ideas?

it is likely that you have spyware and not necessarily a virus. Download and run Lavasoft AdAware. You can also try Spybot. Another nice tool for browser hijackings is Hijack This.
