there is a really old thread on this here (http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?t=52461)already, but its old and i didnt feel it belonged in the client side dev section really, since its more of a software recomendation issue..

I really want an easy way to track my time spent on projects. The other thread on this just degrades into whether or not this is a good practice, etc... what ever about that.

I want a little app on my desktop that has a big button i can hit to toggle between "Yep. im workin on stuff", and "Nope. i got distracted". Basically. A stopwatch. perhaps some other fun features, but nothing bloated.

its gotta be free, and itd be great if it was an opensource project or something.
theres gotta be something, but i can find a good one.

Oh ya, for windows... btw... (yuck. sry.)
Thanks for any help!

I know you said for Windows (shudder), but I'll post this for the Mac users reading this thread… I can't say enough good things about iBiz. It's got super-easy time-tracking, decent project management, and invoicing.

I used it for everything initially, now I've switched to Blinksale for invoicing and Basecamp for project management (nice to have everything available online for the clients) but I still use iBiz to track specific projects and time.
