A little problem here.

On my website that I am busy rebuilding, I have a forum that uses the MySQL database. The current path of the forum is this:

ingwaz.nl/main/ingwaz.nl/berichtenbord/mercuryboard/index.php

Which is obviously way too long, blame it to inexperience when it comes to designing websites  I want the path to become this:

ingwaz.nl/main/berichtenbord/index.php

The question is, can I move the forum from one folder to another without problems or is this going to mess up the linking with the tables in the database?

Thanks in advance,
Maurice

it's impossible for us to fully answer that.
if you are just moving the php etc files (so not the mysql-folders) then this shouldn't have any impact on the connection to your mysql-server, since you just use the servername to locate that.

That's basically the idea, cut & paste the forum files (php, txt, etc) from one folder to another, I won't go into the MySQL server itself.
