When I try to listen to a sample of anything on amazon.com I loose all internet connections. I have to reboot my modem, router & each switch then computers before I can get access to the internet. I can't even get file sharing to function when this happens.

I can't listen to anything since when I try to listen to sound clips I loose all internet connections.

Has anybody else had this problem & how do I fix it?

Sounds like your sound card drivers are corrupt somehow. Find out what sound card you have and try to reinstall the drivers.

This is a brand new pc...I know that they are up to date. I have this problem on both of my computers. When this problems happens I can't even get my phones to work that are VOIP.

Did you have this problem before you installed VOIP?
Sound to me like either modem or router problems

I didn't that I know of. I haven't used amazon.com in several years & only had the VOIP for about 7 months.

What happens if you try to stream music from elsewhere? Try yahoo music.

I would search your VOIP company support website to see if any other costumer has experienced the same issues.

If I used FireFox I get this error:Error

Sorry, we do not support Netscape on the Windows platform.

Error Code 25 -

I use IE I loose the internet connection & have to reset everything. I tried to listen to a local radio station online & the same thing happens. It has been about month or less since I listened to this particular radio station online through their web site so I don't think this has anything to do w/my VOIP adapter.

That's because yahoo music and other places don't support Netscape 8.0, which I belive was developed using Firefox 1.0.x code, so that explains that problem.

I still think it might be the router if all computers go bad. Probably sending a bad packet or somehow creating a denial of service.

Your computer isnt going to kill your Modem and switches. There must be a problem with Amazon and your VOIP or ISP. Other sites browse fine, right?

Could be some type of goofy packet that Amazon is trying to send over and your switch just freaks out and dies. Not sure, seems weird.

I notice that with amazon.com that when I try to listen I get a hurl.exe file for some reason. I notice this if I try to use Real Player at amazon.com. Now I just power cycle the router & switch...I might have not had to power cycle the model to begin with.

I tried removing the VOIP from the switch & the same thing happened. I called comcast & they said it was nothing they can do since I didn't have to power cycle my modem when this happens.
