Hi, I get errors and slow loads all the time with windows media player. I was wondering if there is a better media player out there(not real player or quicktime).

Thanks

I use BSplayer myself, I think the newer version have adware that come along with them though. And you can download media player classic which works well too.

Almost anything is better than WMP if you'd ask me. It depends on what youwant from the player. If you want it to just play video files then I'd recommend Media Player Classic or VLC. If you want it to connect to the internet, having "media libraries" and other things you don't need you could look at winamp.

vlc wont work on my x64 when i go to start it, it says do you want to send an error report then closes. the error is some kind of plugin. I removed the plugin and nothing work on the vlc player there after.

VLC doesn't have any plugins...

The player I use out of preference is quite old. I could attach it as it's just 606KB... no well I won't do that as the file limit is 50KB.

Foobar2k is great for audio, if Winamp isn't your boat (which is also pretty great).

VLC has no equal when it comes to video, at least under Windows.

Windows users are fairly well-off in their options of media players (as there are many), but Mac users suffer from iTunes-itis, and I personally would really love to see an equivalent to Foobar2k or Winamp available for OSX.
