In the midst of php, and despite the recent PM i recieved, being a girl does not mean i'm not allowed to design websites.
i need to know if there is a site where i can find some info about flash websites?
how to incorporate flash into being the entirity of your site, similar to, but not quite the awesomeness of http://www.2advanced.com
thanks

If you're just starting out with Flash (IE, if you haven't used it much) I'd suggest going through some flash tutorials...
I've played with Flash for a year or two, and still haven't made a complete site with it (lack of a reason to do so)
Anyways.. all I know is that making an entire site in Flash is a HUGE job!
http://www.flashkit.com - there's some tutorials and LOADS of examples there.
If you are looking for some books, I'd recommend the Flash 4 Bibke (Doesn't have to be version 4 obviously - if you have Flash 5, get the Flash 5 Bible, etc.)
Hope you have all kinds of sucess!

p.s. Girls + Web Design = SWEET! (This is not a gender specific field, and whoever PMd you saying that should be ashamed) ;)

Girls can do just as well as us guys. :)
You also might want to play around with a program called Swish. It's a more user friendly program for creating Flash files.

I know a few web designers now and most of them are female, and out of those I know they are the best ones too.
It really can't be a gender specific job as you never know who's behind the monitor. Nobody know's I'm really a dog - arf!
Anyhoo, must go and floss the cat...

Yes, Swish is a pretty good place to start, affordable and you can create some pretty decent presentations with relative ease. Very user friendly and easy to understand. Good luck ;).
Side note: If you received an offensive PM, you have the option to report it if you choose. PMing is subject to the same rules as the rest of the forum.

thanks Someone round here knows a bit about flash, I'm sure of it.
Swish is a *so so* tool for quickly producing text effects in flash. There's nothing like getting Flash 5 (or MX now) and messing about though. If you've got Flash then just ask and I'm sure someone will be able to help.
Incidently http://www.were-here.com is a flash help/resource site, just beware of asking questions, flashers aren't as helpful or friendly as coders.

The best way to learn, is have an idea in mind, somethign that you want to set out to achieve, plan what needs to be done (whether you know how to or not) draw some ideas out on paper and plan. When you're happy with what you have, open flash and play around, get familiar with some of the tools and explore the interface.
When you feel like you want to start creating, search google for keywords in what you're trying to do and read a tutorial (i.e. if you are looking for button animation effects on rollover, search "flash button rollover tutorial" in google). Do this for every different part of your idea. I find this method easiest because you learn as you go along :)
