the idea i have is to have a piece of my php site (a photo upload site) that displays random pictures from users and have it display on my home page www.animalexotics.net in the space below photos. im thinking some sort of rss feed would work and if it would could i do it also for the new posts on forum section. so in a more simplistic form i want to have a peice of my php site that displays pictures show up on my html site.

not sure. but is there a way i can just havea javascript that calls photos from the place where all the photos are stored? and for the forum new posts part can it be done the same way?

if you know how to do it in php and can tell me how to convert my site to php so it will work im all for that.

Did you even read the link I gave you? JS can't go across domains. The php script is able to read from a directory and calls images.

okay a new problem i tried implementing this and found the file where the photos are found and put it into the
$folder= 'http://animalexotics.net/photos/data/thumbnails/2/ but when i link to the rotate.php file using the link <img src="/photos/data/thumbnails/2/ rotate.php" /> it just shows a box with an X and the rotate .php file is in the same file as the photos.
