scandisk?

What utility are people using now to clean errors off of the hard drive since scandisk wasn't included in Windows XP? Hopefully it doesn't take 24 hours to work like scandisk did. :(

I'm on a public computer and system tools folder is blocked for me. I want to know this because people keep having problems running defrag with errors on the drive.

Right click on the drive (C:) of your choice.

go to properties

Go to tools

Go to Error-checking.

Yeah Scandisk was an app for Windows 9x, the NT based Windows OSes like XP use chkdsk.
