Hi Admins,

Are you guys aware that your setup of vBulletin has got some strange (default) textarea values set up for the different browsers for the posting entry pages:

Phoenix/Netscape 7/Moz
<textarea name="message" rows="20" cols="40"

Netscape 4:
<textarea name="message" rows="20" cols="50"

Opera/IE:
<textarea name="message" rows="20" cols="70"

Phoenix/NS6+/Moz should be at least 70.

I believe that these numbers can be changed for the various browsers on one of the admin panels.

Yep...I believe, however, that VB set those defaults for a reason-to display an appropriately sized textarea across browsers, at least in their opinion is.

VB3 is coming out in a couple of months, which should definitely be more sensitive to the current browsers out there.

the textarea is definitely too narrow in Moz. if you have any control over it at all, George, it would be great if you could make it wider. if you could make it extend across the width of the screen, that'd be wonderful. also wouldn't mind if you could give focus to the field automatically, when the page loads.

of course, if you can't change that, then it's all just wishful thinking. which it all is anyway, if you don't agree with it. ::grin::

Yeah, I thought that was just a bug with Mozilla.
