Installing PHP on IIS failed. IIS doesn't work anymore

I've tried to configure PHP5 to work with Microsoft IIS, but it/I failed. Furthermore, the Configuration button under Home Directory under Properties didn't work.

I decided to reinstall IIS. Now I can't run it anymore; I cannot change any settings because Internet Information Services doesn't appear anymore under Services and Application in the Computer Management console.

Trying to access the shortcut under Administrative Tools throws this error:

Snap-in failed to initialize.
Name: <unknown>
CLSID: {.....}

Reinstalling IIS from Add/Remove Components has no effect.

What should I do?

Install XAMPP (http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp.html), easier and comes with mysql :thumbsup:

My question was related to IIS.

I already know some Apache+PHP+MySQL easy-to-install solutions.:p
