Relative addresses is FireFox and IE

Hi,

I usually code my sites using notepad but today I got lazy since I only had to delete one item.
I was viewing this html page:
<url>http://www.pmhca.org</url>
on my desktop as a local page in firefox. Using the 'edit' function, I deleted a single entry, then saved the page and ftp'd it to the site. All of my relative addresses are now showing up as file paths to my desktop files when I view the uploaded page in IE.
I resaved the local page with notepad, uploaded and still the addresses are showing on my machine as file paths in IE.

What did I do and how can I fix it?

Did you have the page to your desktop from the browser first? If so thats why it changed all the paths, so the images and such would point to the local copies.

Do you just have the original page?

I checked to desktop file again and found that firefox had imbeded the following into the document head:

<code><base href="file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Andrew/Desktop/PMHCA/index.htm"></code>.

I deleted that statement and reloaded the page: problem gone.
