Firstly I wasn't sure where to put this thread, so I'm sorry if its in the wrong place. :) My name is Andrew, and I'm 14. I run a few sites, and my latest site, www.swearswearswear.com, is intended to be built around the opinions of visitors, so I thought there would be nothing better than a few polls, a forum, and some forms. I managed to take care of the forum situation by installing phpBB, which I haven't yet had time to customise. But I'm still without ad-free polls and forms, and I'm not really sure how to do these. It's the actual sending of the information that's confusing me, building the actual form isn't a problem, getting it sent, is. I know I have to use a script in CGI-bin but I'm not sure about how to do it. :S

if u are using phpBB then ur site must support php. the best thing to do is create your form on one page and process the results on another.

firstly... page1.php

<form id="frm_submit" name="frm_submit" method="post" action="page2.php">
<input type="text" name="tb1" />
<input type="submit" name="Submit" value="Submit" />
</form>

and then... page2.php

//this will display the variable typed in on the page before
//you can pass it where ever you like

//POST method
echo $_POST['tb1'];

//GET method
//echo $_GET['tb1'];
