Hi,

I would like to allow my registered users to create their own personal page(s) that they can style and use as they like. Their webpage would be www.mysite.com/johnFrank where johnFrank would be the user and his/her webpage. The only example I could think of that would be similar would be myspace. The only part that would be like myspace would be allowing the user to have their own webpage.

here are some other examples: http://www.authorsden.com/judyakennedy, http://www.fanstory.com/selectprofi...p?userid=146629

thanks,
john

Well, to create the actual page, you need to use a server-side language like php.
The code would be something like this:

<?php $file = "/path/to/new/file.php";
$create = fopen($file, "w");
Then the administration would also be using php or another server-side language and a database program.
NOTE:Allowing users to create their own pages is a HUGE security risk. Anything might happen. Be warned.

Make a profile or page template, then let them submite info, then they can ahve there page as a ID or something e.g: http://demo.com/profile.php?ID=01

On top of that you could use mod rewrite so it changes say:

http://yoursite/user/<username> to the profile.php?user=<username> to make easier URLs for your users.
