I am attempting to fork a socket script in a windows enviroment and am running into a serious problem. As you may know pcntl is not available in windows. I have thought about using ticks but that would not realy fork the script. I also thought about using an exec function but that will only run the script in the background.
So at this point I am lost. Any suggestions?
hope anyone is 4 u

That would not be forking right. That would just run a script in the background.
All I am wanting to do is take some of the stress off of my server by forking my socket server. I have thought about complie ing it but I have no experence with that. I guess since I cannot find an answer to my question then I will start testing that.
Thanks for the try,

After long hard search I found that this is not possible with php in a Win32 enviroment. So I am going to write the socket server in C#
