Im sure I am just missing this, but I want to set up a page for people to fill out a form..ie fill in their information, and have it emailed to me.

I am told that it is a java script, but cant seem to find it. I can find places to coding to forms, but not the basic form itself.

Thank you for your help. It is appreciated

For the full functionality you're looking for, you'll need to spend some time in 2 different places.
(1) creating HTML Forms, and (2) using javascript.

A good place for learning about formatting forms in html is the w3 website.
http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/interact/forms.html

Javascript, unfortunately, is not as intuitive as HTML and requires a bit of knowledge in programming. I suggest Google'ing for some sample code in both 'validating html forms' and 'email html forms javascript' or something of that nature. In short, Javascript does not allow sending email directly and the only method of sending email using Javascript only, that i'm aware of, requires the user to have an email client setup (like Outlook) on their system.

I am not really good at using others' codes and typically code everything myself, but have no sample code. Google, however, is a heck of bud.

Good luck.

I collected and compiled JavaScript into one bundle named JLA ( - JavaScript Library Archive ver 1.1).

You can download it free from

http://icebergz.flashmo.net/myfreewares/jslib.exe

Click on Form Validation page.

You will see and can choose any type of contact forms as you like.

I'd like you to download coz I guess you're totally new to JavaScript or Web Stuffs like this.

So you need to ask us for any more coz the JLA has also basic tutorials for beginners.

We have discussed about this long time ago and you can easily search it from

http://www.codingforums.com/search.php
