Can my pc go without any anti-virus?
I have a firewall running, and i don't download any files here, just surf the internet, and if i do download, it's from yahoo mail (bypassing AV scan).

There are some free anti-virus software which are just as good as commercial versions. I wouldn't run the risk if I were you.
Check out AVG Free.

AVG free works pretty well and uses way less resources than Norton

You can go without a virus scanner.
But it's kind of like jumping off an airplane without a parachute. It's just not safe..

In this day it's not recommended to use a computer on the internet without taking proper security precautions. Anti virus software is part of it. I've used AVG for a few years and I've never had any problems with it.

When I recently redownloaded and installed AVG Free it no longer actually fixed anything. It just showed the problems and gave no option to repair as if I had to pay for it to actually do anything about the problems it found. What's the deal?
