Looking for a Partner

Hey,

I currently own 4 websites & 3 out of the 4 has potential to generate alot of cash flow. With the nature of my work I can garauntee alot of traffic & sales. I started these sites with the intent to make money, but due to the lack of time & programming experience to maintain them, they're just "collecting dust".

One site is a dating site, which needs some security patches installed & other things. Another one is a ringtone website, which I would like to add a subscription & affiliate capabilities to. (This one I have a handful of mobile shops waiting to support & promote this site to their customers). The next one is a music site in which we already deal with clients hands on, but would like to offer a place for starving artist can go to purchase & download our royality/ royality free products at an inexpensive price & the last one is an info site that connects the other 3 to it as well it's used to serve as a client access point for media public relations.

This is what Im offering:

Individual(s) will recieve 30% of all revenue generated from these sites. 40% if the individual is hosting the site & takes on the technical & maintaince responsibility, I understand the costs associated with hosting & that is why Im offering 40%.

This is what Im looking for:

An Individual or company that has a min experience of 3 years of web designing, It doesnt matter if you use Corel or Adobe products, the bottom line It looks good, loads quick & it doesnt interupt the function of the site.

Must have strong php/html/dhtml/css/xml/flash/javascript programming knowledge experience (requiring at least 3-5 yrs)

E-commerce, Im currently using CubeCart on one of the sites, but if you know something better or make it stone proof that will definetly help. So paypal IPN knowledge is definetly a plus. Knowledge in subscription & affiliate is a must.

Must be have strong knowlege using mySQL

Must have common sense & work effienctly & independently. In the industry Im in, Sometimes I need fast results &/or a fast turn around time.
You must have a phone & email. 98% percent of contact would be via email, but in the case of something that needs to happen asap a phone call will happen.

Im on the road 90% of the time so chances of meeting are high, but I perfer the candidate live in MN,WI,IL,IA but not necessary.

no offense but you'll be lucky to find someone with all the skills you want + the experience for 30% of potential nothing.
In all honesty, you'd be lucky to find a good programmer with 3-5 years experience in php/html/dhtml/css/xml/flash/javascript AND 3 years design experience. Particularly commercial experience.
Jobs tend to be one side or the other, any serious company would keep its left brainers and right brainers separate.

I understand that & thats why Im looking for a possible team situation. Maybe an exisiting company or individual has an internship or something of that nature for their organization whose willing to take on a project like this.

Im going to see how many candidates interested here & other sites. My other option is to hire an intern(s) from the local Colleges & Universities & if everything works out right then they'll get promoted to a Senior position in my company.

The bottom line is I dont want to pay for overhead for an employee & Its not generating sales. The individual(s) whose willing to take on this challenge/opportunity will be well compensated.

Think about this: The average dating site charges an average of $13 a month x 100 customers = $1300 - 30% = $390 + My ringtone site currently has 1300+ members x $3.00 a month for unlimited mobile content = $3900 - 30% = $1170 Currently my production company generates on average $11000 a month & base on our research a third of our clients prefer to purchase our compositions online instead of the emailing & telephone/mail process. So a third of our monthly average is $3666 - 30% = $1100 if you do the math that's a potential $2660 a month thats 31k a year easily. With the amount of radio, television & print promotion we do for the production, its nothing to add the dating & ringtone sites to the equation. So the potential to make more money mentioned is there.

If you already have all the income you claim to have, why would not you just pay for the work you need and keep the profits???

I would still need to have it maintained & an individual to handle any customer related issues, questions, comments, so on. Besides its inexpensive this way instead of hiring an employee & paying insurance & other expenses. BTW this would be a subcontract to partnership opportunity.

You do not need to hire an employee. You hire a company to do a project - there is no insurance or other expenses. If there is maintenance involved, that usually is part of the development contract and can be billed per hour or a fixed yearly fee, or combination of both.
The thing is, there is no reason for a good developer to get into a partneship like that - why do a free work with questionable potential, when there are paying customers lined up???

Hmm, So you are telling me that there is a company to "keep an eye" on the sites for any script errors, upgrades & to provide customer service to clients when needed, backups / site & server maintence & consultation on site, performance, design & revenue improvements? And a reasonable monthy or yearly cost?

The point of the partnership is to run a smooth & operational business & of course to make $$$. These sites will not take a whole day of an individuals life or interfere with any other activities they may have. As long as the individual make routine backups & to answer paid subscribers questions. It shouldn't take no more than 2 hours a day.

The same reason why people work numerous hours when starting there own business. To someday to have more free time and to enjoy the results of their hard work. The 2 major reasons business' fail is because of a lack of a budget & no budget for marketing & promotion. In which is not the issue with this. I produce 3 radio shows in 2 major cities which has a listener base of 3 million people, Not to mention the production for a couple of television stations. So marketing is no problem, but finding the right candidate is, but I can ensure the potential is there.
Just do the math.

If I wasn't working 17 hour days, 7 days a week - Not to mention traveling, meetings & those darn conference calls. I would have the time to handle everything else with the exception of the major programming if needed.

Come to think about it the programming is minimal most of the scripts are pre-made & has support for them. But sometimes certain updates can take up to a couple hours to apply.

Anyways if you're not interested in the partnership don't waste my time with what if or nots, Its just your opinion.

Hire people like any normal legit business would or are you to greedy to do that?
