I created a banner which is 271KB. Is this a right size or too big for a banner (the banner is 468x60). What is the maximum efficent size for a banner of the mentioned height and width. Mine is an animated one.

Chelvis, 271 KB?
468/60 is sort of standard. And I'd say 5K is a nice size. Or, animated, maybe 20K. But 271 KB is hilarious... :D

The last unoptimised animated banner of the same size that I handled was 26 kb.

Does yours just look pretty or does it do the dishes too? :p

Come-on guys!

No need to insult anyone...

chelvis asked a reasonable question, but some of these replies are unwarranted.

i agree,

evidently the size of the banner is perfectly fine like i said before.
but the size of the file is too large, as they say and i think i agree.

25-30 Kb it's the max. I've made some advertising banners for portals and search engines and they don't accept anything greater than 15 Kb
