hi. i'm new to the world of dom/javascript, but need some help to be able to get my job done right.

what is the best, most browser compliant, way to code when you want some text, e.g. descriptions to images, to pop up as the pointer moves over these images? i've learned the basic way using innerhtml, but it seems that not all browsers understand this.

use title attribute:

<p title="this text will show as a tooltip">when you move you mouse over this one</p>

I'm surprised Vladdy didn't advertise his own tooltips (http://www.vladdy.net/WebDesign/Tooltips.html) :D
