I'm going to use Frontpage to make a simple website but i'm not completely crazy about it. Time is a factor and while i'd love to write the thing completely HTML, its not possible. I am a novice - and I dont understand much but I'm confident I can figure it out. I've found a lot of cool sites with button makers and pics and effects that I would like to use in my site. My stupid questions of the day are as follows:
Will images I find on the web work within Frontpage?
Has anyone had any trouble with effects?
sorry if this is completely bonehead.. but I dont want to waste my time or get excited bout anymore cool stuff if im destined to use MS FP's cookie cutter facade

01. Will images I find on the web work within Frontpage? - Yes it will.
02. Has anyone had any trouble with effects? - You mean the DHTML effects of Front Page? When I was still a newbie both on HTML and FrontPage.

You only get trouble with the effects if you mess around with the code, and you don't know what you are doing - otherwise no problems should occur... but thsi is Microsoft we are talking about so anything no matter how strange is possible.

Front page has tabs at the bottom where you can switch views from the Browser, WYSIWIG and HTML code views. I'd suggest that when you add something to the page you look at the html both before and after you add it, that way you'll start to recognize the html and understand what it does. One thing Front Page allows you to do is a "hover" button you should avoid them like the plague because they load java applets which are very slow loading (on the web, they look ok in FP).
