free, crossplatform XML validator?

Hi all,

I'm fairly new to XML/DTD and am looking for a FREE, cross-platform XML/DTD validator. Basically, it would be nice if I could just type at a UNIX shell:

validator <xml-file> <dtd-file>

and get a result. If it's cross-platform or open-source, that's an added bonus, but mainly I just want a free one that will work on UNIX. Any thoughts?

Have a look at http://www.garshol.priv.no/download/xmltools/. The tool you're looking for might just be there.
