Hey, I'm applying to be a webmaster of a site, and the current webmaster is asking for coding samples. I think I have a pretty good idea what coding is (the codes and stuff for the site colors, etc.), but I don't know how to give her a sample. Can anyone help me?

She is most probably after examples of your work to see how proficient you are at coding.

If you don't have any, then you could code up a page to use as an example; for instance, for a made-up company, or even about yourself.

Thank you.. now being as new as I am, can you tell me how to go about creating a page to code?

You are applying to be a webmaster, yet you don't know how to even code a basic page?

I would forget about trying to be something you're not for the time being and start with the basics by learning (X)HTML and CSS at http://www.w3schools.com . :)

I'd make something for a pretend company, or even redesign an existing company's site. As I said before though, you could always make a page about you, such as a CV maybe, or anything really. It's up to you!

If you know how to do it then you must have examples of your work. Otherwise its just theory - if you've never actually done any web coding.
Though tbh 'webmaster' is a very out-dated concept.
