Hi guys,
I've posted a few questions on here during the past few weeks and the answers I received were really helpful.
I have now got close to finishing my website and have uploaded what I have done so far.
If anyone has any comments to make I would appreciate it, good, bad, indifferent I'm eager to learn! Here is my website:

Thanks in advance for your comments. I know I'm not very good at building websites but this past month this has been a steep learning curve for me!

It doesn't validate. Run it through the validator (http://validator.w3.org). I think you should give your page a different background color other than white. A light gray would work. Your left nav doesn't have a :hover effect and I'm not too sure how I like your nav repeated twice at top and bottom. Maybe a graphical nav at the top and the text nav at the bottom? And finally this is in the wrong forum. You should have posted in the Web Site Review forum, too late now, don't cross post. Someone will move it.

Great thanks for your comments, I'm really sorry I posted this in the wrong forum. Oopps. I posted it here because I asked questions relating to my CSS in the past... Re: grey background will have a play around, thanks for the link for the validator will have a look why it doesnt work. Thanks so much for your help. :-) I repeat the nav at top and bottom for SEO purposes as it increases the internal linkages, but yeah a graphical one at the top is a good idea, thanks.

One other improvement would be to make your site fluid. You can do this by removing the width on your #container and then slicing up your header image into 3 parts, one part for each image, put the left and right images before the middle image. Float the first image to the left, the second one to the right and give the one in the middle margin:auto; you should also set a min-width on the #container. You will need to use JS to fake min-width in IE6.

Thanks for these comments... Actually I don't follow exactly what you mean, do you know any websites with more explanations of what you are saying?
Thanks,

Which part are you having trouble with? Its pretty basic CSS. Seeing as how your site is CSS based, I figured you would know what these terms mean. Fluid means a site that resizes its width as the browser is resized.

Ah ok, now I understand what you mean, so get rid of the 1024 container and split the banner up so it resizes... Yeah I do understand now (sorry I was slow on the uptake). I actually wanted to use the container as I personally like it when websites are contained, additionally it is nice for design as I can design knowing the width it will be viewed in... But yeah I understand now, thanks very much _Aerospace_Eng_!

The site looks really nice, however, it is rather wide in relation to the height, so you have to scroll to see the right side (even on my 17" iMac!). Maybe you could slice your banner into three, instead of using an image map, as Aerospace suggests, so that it adjusts to any size of screen.

firstly, i dont see the point of having 3 navigation bars when all are visible without scrolling. the side navbar should have a hover effect. the graphics are nice though, clean looking. although they also look familiar, like a familiar style? msn? or like ive seen them before, they just look cookie cutter. um, what else? too much white space? looks really empty. i like the gallery though, loads kinda slow but i like the thumbnail popping out animation thing. however you call it :p and... looks like there's a lot of options for expansion, i mean it might seem empty now but looks like it will accommodate a lot of new content, with the search function etc.

I don't feel like reading everyone elses posts so here is what I think.

- 3 Navigations??
The Top Navigation could be just MAIN stuff, and then the Left-hand Navigation could be a bit more detailed. The Bottom Navigation, try to put your terms, or copyright info. there. Just a suggestions. :)
- In the Welcome message, the spacing (paragraph) increases after the second line.
- There is a Go Back button on the index. I don't think there should be one.
Everything, nicely done!
