is there a way to set popups in flash so that they open as new instances of IE when you click on them and not as popups of the current IE? Also is there a way to get popups to not be blocked when users click on them to load new swf movies?

The problem I am having is that if the users closes the popups before the page loads it kills that instance of IE and they have to open a new instance in order to use the site. So there are a bunch of different image galleries. Users click on the popup link in flash to open one but if they close the window before it loads to try and open a different gallery it kills the instance of IE.

Well it looks like IE has a problem where the windows load and it freezes and all there is is white:

so i guess there are some fixes for this but it is something everyone needs to do themselves. Stupid IE this doesn't happen in Firefox. Tried downloading IE 7 beta 3 and it works a lot better but still fails. This is really annoying.

The worst part is that I can't expect users to fix these in order to use the site so I am screwed unless I can make some workaround for people viewing the site. Any ideas?
