Hi,

i'm doing a course in networking & computer support and one of our modules is Component Based Software Development. Everyone doing the course hates it and everyone including the lecturer agrees that the module it totally irrelavent to what we're doing. However, it has to be done and I have a coursework due for next month, using Netbeans.

I do not have any idea how to program in Java, nevermind netbeans. I probably only know the really really really basic stuff. "hello world"....remember that?

Does anybody wanna see what my coursework is so they can help me? Where can I start if i wanna get to grips with netbeans itself? I'm struggling....and am under real pressure and stress because it's this module which stands between me and my degree.

yar. A quick Google Search on tutorials will do wonders

Netbeans:

Do not post your homework assignments and expect us to do them for you. We do not encourage cheating on these forums, and how are you supposed to learn if you're not doing it for yourself?

While direct cheating is discouraged, collaboration is no problem. Instead of asking for something directly, you could say "I have to do this, and I'm thinking about doing it this way, but are there any better methods?" You have clearly demonstrated you know at least what you're talking about, and at the same time, attempted to improve your scripting skills (by looking at superior - if any - methods), which is really what homework is all about.

So once you get started, let us know what you come up with. Show us code, maybe we can help you think of a better / faster way to do it.

Cheers, Sorry to be an arse.
