Data Base?

Hi

I have set up a website that is to offer Free PSP Wallpapers. I want this to self manage to some extent. How can i do this. Is there a way i can build a database and let people self select the images they want?

Is there also a way in which i can allow people to automatically update the site with new images. For me to just validate them toput them live.

Well, you will need the following:

A DataBase Management System (DBMS) like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL
Some kind of scripting language like PHP, ASP, Perl, Ruby
And a host, which you already have.

I would check out Ruby-On-Rails. They have tools to help you get up and running super fast. Google for "Ruby on rails". There's even a site called nubyonrails.com for newbies!

I think you might find this to be the easiest path.
