open url

Hi,

I am trying to get a button on my page to forward the user to a certain URL when clicked (at the moment I am just using a test url).

http://www.maddog-band.co.uk/update-gigs.php

I'm calling a function named gotoEdit()!! I'm popping up an alert box just to make sure the function is being called... and it is.

Ignore the drop-down list for the moment - it's redundant.

Can anyone help?

I would use

top.location.href = editURL;

instead of window.open
