Hey all, learning css, and I'm trying to make a 3 column layout, and when I start entering my middle content (the news heading) the content shifts down aligning with the bottom of the divs in the left and right columns - why is this?? I dont want the middle column to slip down once content is added. This only looks odd in ie, in firefox it sits firmly at the top as it should.

What do I need to do?

no - not refering to ie7 as its not going to be a standard for sometime yet... ie6 = the problem.

Try removing the width from the <h1>.

Thanks Kravitz, that worked... but its still got a small white gap on the side columns - thats not ther ein firefox - any ideas?

On a slightly different note but keeping with css, how would I create a div with text, but include another div inside with the words 'read more...' sitting in the bottom right and that doesn't get affected by the length of the text in the main div?

Cheers
