Printing contents from an SQL table

Hi i was wondering if anyone can help me... i am hoping to be able to print a selected record on a gridview using a click of a button... is it possible to do this if the record isnt actually fully displayed on the page?

if it is could someone please give me some pointers (using VB.net) ?
