Php Mysql

Okay, I know i probably asked this question one way or another but it is not still clear to. I have downloaded MYQL from mysql.com and php from php.net. They seem to have very bad installation directions. Meaning that I am a none technical person. Is there some where on the web that have very simple directions and set info to install both of these tools. Thank you.
