wierd results when using IE with javascript

howdy,
I have written a couple of js scripts, they both appear to work wonderfully when checked and ran with firefox, but strange things occur when tested and run with IE6. For instance the first time they run on IE they work, however when refreshed they don't work. Is there something peculiar with IE and javascript? Just wondering

Yes IE and javascript can act peculiar.

can anything be done to rectify this or get around it?

Yes in most scenarios you can write cross-browser code that works in IE and FF.

Or perhaps post your code so we can see what might be causing the problem.
