hey whats up people.

I think I heard somewhere, I might be mistaken, that you could use somehting like php to control the windows environment as though it was its shell script? I've also heard about using vbscript, would either one be better than the other and how would I go about setting up PHP to do this?

VBScript is basically the windows shell scripting, it can automate basic tasks.

I was wondering if you could refer me to any good sources where they go in depth about using vbscript for windows tasks?

The windows scripting host can actually be used with any number of programming languages (vbscript being the most popular)

Oh i see, hey thanks for those links. there's alot of stuff on those, I'll probably first learn to use vbscript before trying any other ones.
