Anyone know how I can go about getting or creating something similar to this? I know some PHP, I am no way near expert though.

Looks like they've just got a stable of alphabet images in those designs. They tear whatever you enter down letter by letter and pull in the proper images. It's just string functions (http://us3.php.net/manual/en/ref.strings.php) and form processing.
