Upload file via FTP

It´s possible upload a file with a field file type via FTP??

the file would first be uploaded to your server then have to be FTP'd to whatever remote location that would be.. you would likely have something in the background that would check periodically then transfer the file... although it depends so maybe if you gave more details on the situation that would help
