Networking issues...

Hi,
i have four desktop pc's and a mac laptop running in my office. Two of the desktops are uptodate with windows and antivirus (mcAfee with antispyware protection).

We get our internet connnection from another network within the building. Our office is networked with a dLink wireless router which is our default gateway and DHCP.

For some reason, i can ping machines on the network but cant access any of the shared folders. This is making it impossible to print without having to use a pendrive or email.

Can some one help me ASAP ???

right click on my computer, go to properties, then click the computer name tab. What is the workgroup name set to? These need to be the same for all of the pcs. Not sure what to tell you about the mac as I've never networked with a mac.

Are they running Windows XP? If so the built-in firewall could be blocking file and printer sharing. You can change this under the windows firewall settings under exceptions.
