Zipped Documents

What is this site talking about? Would this help me make my web pages load faster. I have no access to the server except thru ftp.

I actually think its more like tgz files. Servers have the ability to uncompress these files on the fly. The tgz files could be a few gigs in size, its like the .zip version for servers. I don't know if servers can actually read what is in a zip file but they can in tgz files I think.

thanks i wasn't sure. i figured it wouldn't help me. that would be great tho if you could do that. it would greatly conserve data transfer and speed up loading especially for dialup users.
