Is there a such thing as Apache for window or is it all the same download. I want to install apache on my XP machine. Where would I look for the best place to download it from? Which is the current version? Is there a binary version which contain a self installer? Maybe a zip file I can download. When I go to Apache.org and download I get a list of files to download. Which ones do I have to download? Please help.

www.apache.org

Look for the Win32 binary, they also have an .msi installer which I used to install Apache 2 on my XP box.

But that isn't half as fun as:

tar -xzvf httpd*
cd httpd*
./configure
make
make install

:D
