Hi,
Could someone please advise me where i need to go to change the password to my website please?. the password i want to change is the www.musicdetail.com/admin one, i have looked in the config.php file but this only contains the username and password for MySQL database.
Any advice is most appreciated. Cheers.

This is the sillyest question I have ever seen. How are we supposed to know where the password change feature on a site you have not given us is. Do you assume every site has a /admin that everyone can go to?
Really!

And still, we cannot find where to change the password on a site we have no access to. This does however look like a .htaccess/.htpasswd driven system, so have a look around for a file named .htpasswd.

Andy, look in the root of your site (you might have to set your ftp client to show all files cos sometimes .htaccess and .htpasswd are hidden files.) You can find the password usually in .htpasswd. You should be able to find both. Also look in /admin for both files, as .htpasswd will most likely be in there.
In terms of the admin section itself, I take it that your host put it there? It's your control panel for your site yeah?
Also, lavinpj1 I don't like how you responded on your first post. He's only come here for help and advice, and demoting his question as silly is plain rude I think. Sorry...

Hi Weazel,
Yes i have had a good look around, there is definatly 2 htaccess, but no htpsswd. with regards to the admin, this is just to add things like add artist, album etc etc, the main admin for the host account is the usual www.musicdetail.com/cpanel. I have changed the Cpanel password, but just need to change the admin password to stop my prvious designer being able to access the site itself. also, thanks for your comment about "lavinpj1". its appreciated. I am only looking for advice, and your the best guys to provide that advice. thank you!
