Visual Studio 2005 linking MSDN Jan. 2005

I am having trouble linking the MSDN January 2005 library to Visual Studio 2005. I have installed both of them and for some reason, Visual Studio doesn't "see" the MSDN documentation.

When I press F1 for help, it tries to connect online, however I do not want it to do this. I want to search through the local documentation.

I changed settings so that it searches local as the primary, but for some reason is always trying to connect to the online help.

Is there some setting that I am not getting right? Is there something else during the installation that I am not doing?

I wouldn't ever reply to my own thread, but I had to put this in here. I still haven't come up with a solution, and believe that this may be the most difficult question to ever hit any forum. I have posted this on numerous discussion forums and have even contacted Microsoft directly and still haven't gotten anywhere.
