looking for a web host

OK, this thread is seen millions of times throughout these kinds of messageboards, so i know it's not exaclty original, but i thought i'd ask anyway:

I'm looking for a web host (pref. UK), a cheapish one that's reliable and friendly, and all i need is about a couple of megs of storage, not much traffic will be visiting, can host domains, and HAS PERL - pref. unix.

I would like it if someone could recommend a host they've used or heard good things about?

Well, I could host for you, but that would be violating the rules of the board here. I've had good luck with the following:

www.aletiahosting.com
www.cyberpixels.com
www.simonweb.com
www.oryxma.com (very cheap, $17 per year)

All on either Linux or Unix with Apache, Perl, mySQL, + more.

Hey. I suggest you go with a company called Host Department. I have their free plan and I don't have any pop-up ads on my page, just text links at the bottom and a message in the scrollbar. Their paid service is very cheap ($5/month) That doesn't beat the $17 a year, I'd probably compare the two. happy Host Hunting! (I love alliteration :D )
