Hi people,

I have a quick question related to web design.
I have seen on some web sites (personal ones mainly) people have the M.soft word logo so that when you click it you can download there cv in word format. I am creating a cd with my portfolio using flash etc and I wanted to do this, but I was just wondering if this is legal it seems to be done alot so I thought I would check first ??

Thanks

What the company says about using their logo (http://www.microsoft.com/permission/copyrgt/cop-img.htm#LinkTo)

Linking to Microsoft Web sites
Generally, Microsoft does not object to parties making referential links to Microsoft's web sites . However, we prefer that any reference to our company name or product names appear in a simple font and format and that you use appropriate words, such as "This way to Microsoft.com" or "Click here for more information on Microsoft Frontpage". You may not use the Microsoft corporate logo on its own, nor any other Microsoft graphic or logo to make these links, unless you go through a Microsoft Link Logo Program. There are a number of Microsoft Link Logo Programs described on the Microsoft Trademark Questions web site at http://www.microsoft.com/trademarks/. If you do not choose to use any of these logos under the licenses provided, you should not use any Microsoft logo or graphic to make the link.

Yer thanks guys good research,

I did look on the Microsoft site but im obviously not with it :o
(hey its nearly saturday night now so you know what that means :D)

I had a feeling it would be a bad idea, but then because I have seen others using the logo I thought well maybe, just maybe !!

I guess I will just draw a little icon representing the link and do it that way.

Thank you kindly guys :D
