Passing values to a popup window

Hi,

I have a form in a browser that uses javascript to check for validation. i then use the action property to go to the next page and use submit in the script.

Using this same script is it possible to redirect the answers to the form to a popup window that will use the values that were entered by the user in the form?

here's the javascript code i use:

function addName(theForm, first_name, last_name)
{
theForm.first_name.value = first_name;
theForm.last_name.value = last_name;
theForm.action = "register.php";
theForm.submit();
}


and here's the html code that is used, the variables are there because the code is actually in php.

<input type='button' value='Add' onClick='addName(theTable, "$first_name", "$last_name")'>


this opens the register.php page with the first and last names passed, but the page is opened in the same window. is it possible to have the register page come out in a popup window and use the first and last names in that page.
