Visual Basic where to download?

Hey I was just wondering what the big difference is between Visual Studio, and Visual Studio Express?

And I know that Microsoft has VisualStudio 2005 out now.. but I recently acquired a nice big book on visual basic .net (2003 i believe?) from a friend and I wanted to mess around with it... does anyone know where I would be able to download visual basic .net express? or should i just download the new 2005, would it be backwards compatible?

There shouldn't be too many differences between 2005 and 2003 language wise. So you should be able to use a book for 2003 in 2005.
