Hi, all.

Long time listener. First time pleader for help.

I have a basic three column liquid layout using CSS. When the center column extends past a certain point, the headers on the masthead jump left a few pixels.

I've pored over the code and maybe I've been looking at it too long, but I can't figure out what's causing the shifting.

Any and all help - greatly appreciated.

The URL is dcpythians.org. Stylesheet is at:

http://dcpythians.org/styles/dcglstyle20.css

and an example of the masthead shifting is between pages:

http://dcpythians.org/meetings.php , and
http://dcpythians.org/history.php - where the center column text extends beyond some fixed amount.

Again - thanks in advance.

I reviewed it in IE6 and FF1.5 in a 1280×1024 resolution and didn't see the problem you were speaking of. "Knights of..." is the masthead right? Not a term I hear often.

More details perhaps? Such as which browser and version is exhibiting the problem and how far "some fixed amount" is?

Right. Sorry.

Firefox 1.5.

It doesn't appear to do the shifting in Explorer.

Thanks.

Well... This is embarrassing.

The page shifts over to the left when scroll bar appears along the right side.

Argh!

Thanks all for your time.
