What Kind of PHP Script Do I Need For This?

Hi.

I would like to make a website where people can freely announce their e-zines, and have their e-zine information displayed on the site immediately.

Here's what I have in mind:

I want people to be able to go to my site, select a category that their e-zine caters to, enter their website url, their name, and a description of thier ezine. Then, when they click on submit, their e-zine, website url, their name, and a description of their website would be displayed on the web page immediately.

Also, I want the website url to be a live one, that opens in a new window (target="_blank").

And also, where would I go to get a script that would allow my visitors to search my site for an e-zine or website by category?

you need php and a database... do you have any programming knowledge?

Joomla's Weblinks component. You can give users access to creating a Weblink item. The Weblinks always open up in a new window and they are categorized.

Joomla also comes with a search component.

Both of these components are standard with Joomla. And so is the user registration and log in box.
