Hi all is my first post I hope to get help with this problem, I am trying to build this script with a cousin of mine but we having no luck with it, it as been now few month of work but still no luck to resolve it, I'll appreciated if someone would help, thanks, The code is quite large and I didn't know if was ok to post it here, so I have left the link for the htm and the java script in question.

The link to the page in question is
http://www.ag2000.co.uk/davide/script.js the java file in question

The problems that I am having are
1) Only 2 languages selection are working the 3rd will not work.
2) The audio will restart after 30 seconds, it doesn't remembers to stay off after the refresh of 30 seconds.

The idea is to have 3 languages selections for the welcome message, the day the month and the season.
For each season or time change such as morning afternoon evening and night the background picture and sound should change too.

Thanks in advance.

the problem could be that there is a special accented character in the html code which doesn't translate in the js code.

Try changing:

<option value="napulitÓn">napulitÓn</option></select></div>

<option value="napulitan">napulitÓn</option></select></div>

Also, might I suggest not having sound in the background unless the user has asked for it. People like me love to listen to music while browsing and having unwanted sounds in the background really ruins it.

first of all thanks for helping me.
I believe I have resolved tha language problem even if that word needs
an accent on it, but I can leave without it.
I do understand about the sound, I can let it start turned off, but even so after 30 seconds it turns on itself!!! I do appreciated what you said but is there anything I can do to resolve this audio problem?? if it was for me I will remove it, but is a joint idea with my cousin and I cannot persuase him to scrap this idea.

Thanks again. Regards
