Before posting a question it is always a good idea to have a quick scan through the forum's first page (and perhaps also do a search). If you had you would have found a very similar question to what you are asking about, only two posts below yours, titled oddly enough: I need a simple MySQL basics tutorial. In there you will find the same recommendation as the link above as well as a very good mysql tutorial that will also encompass php should you choose to use it.
